SEO Executive

We are looking for a skilled and motivated SEO Executive to join our team and support the execution of SEO strategies and tasks that drive exceptional results for our clients.

As a leader in the digital marketing space, we understand the crucial role SEO plays in helping businesses grow their online presence. We seek an individual who can assist in developing and implementing effective SEO campaigns, optimise client websites for better rankings, and deliver measurable improvements in traffic and visibility. The ideal candidate will be passionate about SEO and eager to learn and grow.

Location: Sheffield. Monthly and/or bi-monthly trips may be required to the DMP Chester office. On-site meetings with clients may be required.

Working Set up: Full-Time. Hybrid Working. This role offers hybrid working with a minimum requirement of three days in-office during probation or depending on business requirements. After successful probation, office days will be subject to agreement and business requirements but usually drop to 2 days per week. 

Annual Salary: £27,000 + Benefits (Outlined below) & Fantastic Progression Plan.

This role is the precursor to the SEO manager role, which has uncapped earning potential. This position isn’t for the faint-hearted – our projects demand drive, creativity, and resilience.   • Some relevant experience in digital marketing, preferably with a focus on SEO.
  • A solid understanding of core SEO principles and practices.

Key Accountabilities:

SEO:

  • Conduct comprehensive SEO audits that provide broader marketing insights and value, requiring a sharp eye for data, trends, and detail.
  • Independently or collaboratively plan and implement SEO strategies to improve website performance and meet client business goals.
  • Perform intent-driven keyword research and competitor analysis to shape SEO strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Audit websites to ensure adherence to SEO best practices, both technically and in terms of content, while also optimising metadata, on-page elements, and overall content for better rankings and increased organic traffic.
  • Collaborate with content, design, and development teams to embed SEO best practices across client campaigns.
  • Identify key technical flaws on websites and work with clients and developers to deliver effective solutions.
  • Utilise industry-leading SEO tools to uncover optimisation opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Stay updated on the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes to continually refine and improve optimisation efforts.
  • Assist in link-building and outreach campaigns aimed at enhancing domain authority and rankings.
  • Research and pursue link-building opportunities to boost client site performance.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on SEO and campaign performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients, overseeing workflow and fostering strong client relationships through regular reporting, calls, meetings, and video conferences.
  • Skilled at proactively identifying business development opportunities within the client portfolio.

Project Management:

  • Utilise our project management tool to document progress, track deadlines, and communicate updates with the team.
  • Ensure that all SEO projects are delivered on time and meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, build strong relationships, and support teammates where required.

Client Interaction:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, build strong relationships, and act as a trusted partner.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs and tailor SEO strategies accordingly.
  • Engages effectively with prospective and existing clients, presenting tailored SEO strategies and exploring opportunities to expand SEO services.
  • Manage client relations effectively and become the face of SEO in DMP.
  • Lead client meetings and go through reports, questions, audits or tasks.
  • Respond to SEO enquiries and help generate new partnerships for DMP.

Reporting:

  • Prepare comprehensive SEO reports that align with client priorities and objectives.
  • Analyse data, draw insights and make data-driven recommendations for ongoing improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (UK), with the ability to convey SEO insights clearly to clients.
  • Proven experience in SEO practices, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, and technical SEO.
  • Proficiency in using SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Google Analytics.
  • Comfortable and confident in client-facing roles, building strong rapport and managing expectations.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate SEO data into actionable insights.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 3 years of SEO experience or similar.
  • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, and BigCommerce is beneficial.
